David is drawn to magazines because they merge information and entertainment and because he loves big, pretty pictures. Editor of Tufts Magazine since 2006, he was previously managing editor of IBM’s Think Research and a senior editor of MIT’s Technology Review. His essays and articles have appeared in The New Republic, New Scientist, and many alumni publications.


Matt Dewald, Editor – Alumni Magazine at the University of Richmond ryan

Matt has been editor of the alumni magazine and the law school alumni magazine at University of Richmond in Virginia since spring 2012. Prior to UR, Matt was the editor of University of Dayton Magazine and a writer and editor for variety of other print, online, and social media outlets.

Dale is the Editor of Johns Hopkins Magazine and publisher of the UMagazinology website — a service to the community of alumni magazine editors, writers, and designers by Johns Hopkins Magazine and the Johns Hopkins University Office of Communications. Dale has been with Johns Hopkins for almost 23 years.

Ryan Catherwood is the Assistant VP for Alumni and Career Services at Longwood University.
