The annual AMA Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education is coming up November 12-15. The conference provides an excellent opportunity to connect with more than 1,200 of your higher ed peers to hear industry trends and best practices, work through shared challenges, and discover fresh ways to engage your audiences. This episode of Marketing Live will start the #AMAHigherEd conversation early. Members of the conference committee, along with one of the presenters, will preview this year’s symposium and discuss critical issues that attendees will explore.
Rob ZinkanRob Zinkan has been with Indiana University for 15 years and is currently in a system-wide role as associate vice president for marketing – working to develop, champion, and deploy the university’s brand strategy; leading IU’s internal full-service marketing agency; and serving as marketing liaison to the flagship campus leadership and marketing community. Previously, he worked at the campus level as vice chancellor for external affairs at Indiana University East and assistant dean for advancement at Indiana University–Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC). Rob earned his bachelor's degree from Wabash College, master's from Xavier University, and doctorate from Creighton University. He serves on the CASE Commission on Communications and Marketing, contributes to Inside Higher Ed's Call to Action blog, and is a past chair of CASE Indiana.
Paige Booth is vice president for marketing and enrollment management at St. Edward’s University. Paige, who joined St. Edward’s in 2000, leads the university’s integrated recruitment and marketing efforts, orchestrating the resources of the offices of Admission, Student Financial Services, and Marketing to achieve the university’s strategic enrollment growth goals.
She is conference committee co-chair for this year’s AMA Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education.
Binti Harvey is vice president for marketing and communications at Scripps College. Binti brings 20 years of experience in journalism, strategic communications, branding, public affairs, and organizational development to her role. She is responsible for stewarding Scripps’ brand and increasing its visibility through strategies that incorporate marketing campaign development and execution, executive communications, public relations, and public programs.
Binti serves on the conference committee for this year’s AMA Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education.
Julie Zito is assistant vice president, university marketing, at American University. She joined AU in 2014 to lead the marketing team and has more than two decades of experience as a strategic and creative marketing professional. Before transitioning to higher education, Julie spent more than 15 years in entertainment marketing, where she developed campaigns for Animal Planet and Discovery Channel.
Julie will give a presentation at the AMA Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education titled “One Size Doesn’t Fit All: An Exploration of Mar-Com Operations Structures.”
