I think there’s something in the water in Saratoga Springs, NY.

This small city is the hometown and current residence of our producer Ashley Budd. I resided in Saratoga from 2013-2015 before moving west. And now our newest member of the Higher Ed Live family, Daniella Nordin, lives and works in our favorite city in the capital region of NY.

We’re thrilled to welcome Daniella Nordin, digital engagement manager at Skidmore College, to Higher Ed Live’s content production team.

Daniella DNordinis a digital content strategist with a roots in social media marketing. Her work includes producing and curating content that engages — and cultivates — alumni and prospective students. According to Daniella, she fangirls over finding ways to creatively share stories online and offline. We’re excited to put those skills to work in Daniella’s content coordinator role with the network.

Daniella is a graduate of The Ohio State University (#BuckeyeForLife) and holds an M.A. in Communications from the University at Albany, SUNY. And if you ever find yourself in Saratoga Springs, you can listen to her co-hosting Ladies 80s on the Skidmore College radio station.

Higher Ed Live viewers will recognize Daniella from her recent appearance on Admissions Live: Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Let’s Yield!
In this episode, Daniella joined host Chris D’Orso to talk yield strategy. Check out the archive or listen to the podcast to find out how Skidmore plans to increase yield using a multimedia approach (yes, even print!) and walk away with a few tips you can incorporate at your own institution.

And back in March of 2014, I had the pleasure of an all-Saratoga-crew for an mStoner webinar on Social Campaigns in Higher Ed. Daniella and Ashley joined me to present case studies on how their institutions successfully used social networking to engage prospective students and alumni and drive real results.

We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Daniella. And I hope you will too!

If you’d like to get involved with Higher Ed Live, email me. We’re always looking for volunteers, guest bloggers, and guests for upcoming episodes.
