Laura Dean, President of the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) and Assistant Professor of College of Student Affairs Administration at the University of Georgia, came on the show to have a conversation about the CAS Standards. The “blue book” is a popular resource in the student affairs profession. Laura talked about some of the new functional areas that CAS will be “releasing” in 2012. Additionally, there are plans for a CAS Facebook page to create a forum for greater connections with CAS and its constituencies.

Unsolicited Shout-out of the Week
Ardith Feroglia and Rachel Luna – As the designated “tweeters” for @HigherEdLive during Student Affairs Live broadcasts, Ardith and Rachel have been the glue that held the show together. Their tweets, insights, sense of humor, and ability to translate my ramblings into meaningful tweets has made “#SAlive” better and bolder. Thanks!!!
